The Delphi Center is dedicated to providing university faculty and academic support professionals with programs and resources that encourage excellence in teaching and foster student learning.
To achieve this mission, the Delphi Center offers conferences and workshops , instructional design services , research, Blackboard support , resources, facilitation of awards and other activities that uphold the university's central mission of teaching and learning.
The Delphi Center 's premiere event is its annual Celebration of Teaching and Learning which, in addition to a national speaker, features concurrent sessions led by university faculty and staff.
The Delphi Center also offers year-round programs that focus on:
- New and effective ways to teach
- Links between learning styles and teaching strategies
- Development of effective distance education courses
- Course and curriculum (re)design
- The use of technologies to enhance teaching and learning
- Best practices for the evaluation of teaching
- Making the most of Blackboard
